Five hundred years have passed since Martin Luther published his 95 Theses, marking the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. Echoing Air performs music of late 16th- through early 18th-century German Lutheran composers for singers and instruments illustrating the Lutheran ideals of personal relationship with God in the German vernacular of the people. In addition to famous Lutheran composers such as J.S. Bach, Echoing Air will present music of Schütz, Schein, Buxtehude and Lübeck.
