The BSA Celebration of Success is a pre-commencement celebration to honor African and African American students; who through unyielding determination have successfully completed an undergraduate or graduate degree from the University of Indianapolis. The Celebration is representative of African and African American culture and heritage, embraces the value of community and scholarship, and culminates with a Kente Stole presentation. This is a Celebration of Success for graduates to be recognized for their accomplishments and provided an opportunity to honor significant people who have helped them achieve their goal.
The ceremony and reception will be held at the Christel DeHaan Performing Arts Center on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 6 p.m. – 8 pm. Participation in the 2018 Black Student Association Celebration of Success is open to all self identified African and African American UIndy undergraduate and graduate students who will earn their degrees during the 2018 graduation process (Spring 2018 and Summer 2018).
Participants must register by April 8, 2018 to be listed in the program, receive a recognition gift, and up to 4 complimentary guest tickets.
