Music of a Movement: Exploring the Music Behind the 19th Amendment and Women’s Suffrage

The 100th anniversary of the passing of the 19th amendment will be commemorated in this unique program of words and music. Historian Chad Martin and political scientist Laura Merrifield Wilson join Mitzi Westra and Rebecca Sorley for a look at this historic event through many lenses. American music of the early 20th century will be featured, especially that reflecting the differing viewpoints of women gaining the right to vote.
