Piano Trios from Bohemia to Buenos Aires
Presented by Katz, Sapper & Miller
Joana Genova, violin; Austin Huntington, cello; Ryan Behan, piano
Joana Genova, Austin Huntington and Ryan Behan join forces in a program filled with lyricism and passion. Antonín Dvořák’s Piano Trio no. 4 in E minor, op.90 “Dumky” alternates between wistfully melancholic and cheerful dance-like passages in six short movements. Piazzolla’s Four Seasons of Buenos Aires is a unique set of tangos, filled with sharply contrasting moods- from fiery and violent, sentimental and sweet- and driven by pulsating rhythmic energy.
Very limited, socially-distanced seating available free of charge to UIndy students, faculty, and staff only, due to COVID-19 restrictions. Ticketing begins on Nov. 2, 2020 at 9:00 A.M., and tickets will be issued on a first come, first served basis at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/123126856743
