On the Periphery: Women Composers in the Baroque
IndyBaroque delves into the music and lives of female composers during the Baroque period. Often overlooked and on the periphery of the musical world, composers such as Elisabeth Claude Jacquet de la Guerre and Isabella Leonarda were prolific artists contributing to the fabric of musical life in addition to their regular duties at convents and courts of the 17th and 18th centuries.
Very limited, socially-distanced seating available free of charge to UIndy students, faculty, and staff only, due to COVID-19 restrictions. Tickets are available now on a first come, first served basis at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/124858165133.
All performers, concert hall staff, and audience members must be masked at all times.
