The Institute for Civic Leadership & Mayoral Archives presents
an evening with Visiting Fellow Gregory A. Ballard.

You are invited to join University of Indianapolis Visiting Fellow Gregory A. Ballard, former Indianapolis mayor, for a unique opportunity to discuss one of the most pressing topics of our time: the national energy policy. Marine Lt. Col (ret.) Ballard will discuss his latest book, “Less Oil or More Caskets: The National Security Argument for Moving Away from Oil,” and how the transition away from oil can save lives as fewer troops are sent into harm’s way.

Join us as Dr. Ted Frantz, Professor of History and Director of the Institute for Civic Leadership & Mayoral Archives, and Dr. Laura Wilson, Assistant Professor of Political Science, spend time with former Mayor Ballard exploring questions around transportation energy technology and the coming changes that will allow the international economy to move away from oil.

A question-and-answer session and book signing will follow the discussion. Books will be available for purchase.
