PLSA Judicial Lecture Series: Judge Michael Shurn

November 5, 2018 @ 7:00 pm
Monday, November 5; 7 p.m.
UIndy Hall A
L/P Credit is available

You are invited to attend an exclusive speaking engagement with recent Alumni Award recipient and Pulaski County Circuit Court Judge, Michael Shurn, presented by the Pre-Law Student Association.

Judge Shurn will discuss his broad range of experience from criminal to civil to administrative to juvenile to probate, and his familiarity with the many aspects of life that the law touches.

“As judge of a court in rural Indiana, I’ve seen cases from splitting tupperware to first degree murder. You see it all. The good, the bad, the ugly, and all the secrets blowing in the winds of Hoosier cornfields.”

With over 40 years of experience, Judge Shurn is a wealth of knowledge. Like crime, law happens everywhere. Judge Shurn’s time on the bench in Pulaski County gives him special insight into the unique challenges and opportunities legal professionals encounter in rural areas.

If you have questions, please contact Dr. David Root, Assistant Professor of Political Science and Pre-Law Advisor, at rootd@uindy.edu or (317) 788-3334.
