The Ronen Chamber Ensembles collaboration with UIndy features perspectives on native music. Francis Poulencs Sextet for piano and winds is a work as frankly French as Stravinskys is Slav, while UIndy alumnus Matthew Bridghams first Ronen commission celebrates Indianas bicentenary. Paul Krasnovsky leads the ensemble with soloist Mitzi Westra in Luciano Berios 1964 suite Folk Songs, a cycle that incorporates folksongs from Armenia, Italy and Kentucky, and in languages ranging from Azerbaijani to Occitan.
